Harvard College Opera Presents: Jules Massenet’s Cendrillon

Cendrillon is a beautiful operatic adaptation of the widely-beloved fairytale, Cinderella, with an added focus on hope and perseverance. It is a very approachable and familiar storyline for our Harvard community members, conveyed through beautiful French lyrics. Lucette is an exemplary protagonist and a role model of altruism for us all who leads with love and overcomes her greatest nightmares before ultimately finding true love. While this opera stages loss and grief, it ultimately emphasizes the importance of hope through challenging times and the triumph of love.
