Rebecca Araten

Rebecca Araten, soprano, is a current junior studying History and Literature and Women, Gender, and Sexuality. Rebecca caught the opera bug after taking MUSIC20 with Carolyn Abbate. Since then, Rebecca has studied classical voice with Brad Gleim through the Holden Voice Program, and with Jane Olian through Juilliard’s Evening Division program, and had the privilege of performing in a master class with Lawrence Brownlee. She is forever grateful to Liz Eschen for the vocal warmup videos that sustained her singing throughout the pandemic, and to the singers and artistic staff of the Radcliffe Choral Society for always being vocal inspiration and cheerleaders. When she’s resting her vocal cords, Rebecca writes original music for her incredible and musically talented friends to perform.
